Book Marketing

A wonderful book that nobody hears about sells exactly as well as a book that was never written.

  • A written plan built around your book, not a template
  • Author website, email list & reviews outreach
  • Plain-language reporting you can actually read

This is the part of publishing most authors dread, and honestly, most are right to be wary: the book marketing world is full of vague promises and tactics that generate activity without generating readers. Our approach is the opposite: a specific plan built around your book, your genre, and the readers most likely to actually want it.

What’s included

  • An author platform foundation: a professional author website and an email list, the two channels you own outright.
  • Social media strategy focused on the one or two platforms where your actual readers spend time.
  • Search visibility (SEO), so your author website and listings are easy to find.
  • Paid advertising, when it fits your budget, reported on in numbers you can understand.
  • Reviews and media outreach: early review copy campaigns and outreach to bloggers and podcasts in your genre.

Why it matters

Amazon and other retailers surface books based heavily on recent sales velocity and reviews. That means the first weeks after launch matter disproportionately, and a scattered, last-minute approach rarely recovers from a quiet opening.

Our process

  • A marketing consultation to understand your goals, budget, and timeline.
  • A written marketing plan, specific to your book, that you can read and understand in full.
  • Setup and content creation, built and scheduled ahead of your launch.
  • Active management through launch, adjusted based on what’s actually working.
  • Plain-language reporting on a schedule you choose.

What is included

A written plan

A specific plan for your book, your genre and the time you can realistically give it, not a checklist that would suit any title.

A listing that works

Description, categories and keywords rebuilt around how readers in your genre actually search, which is the cheapest marketing there is.

Reviews outreach

Advance copies into the hands of readers and reviewers who read your genre, through legitimate channels. Nobody is paid for a review.

Reporting in plain English

What was done, what happened, and what we would change, in sentences rather than a dashboard export you have to interpret.

How this one runs

  1. A read of where you are. Your listing, your categories, your existing reviews and whatever audience you already have. There is usually more to work with than an author thinks.
  2. The plan. Written down, in order, with what each stage is for and what it costs. You approve it before any of it starts.
  3. Execution. Listing work first because it compounds, then reviews outreach, then paid promotion if the plan calls for it, in that order, because advertising a listing that does not convert only spends money faster.
  4. Review and adjust. What moved and what did not, and an honest recommendation about what is worth continuing. Sometimes that recommendation is to stop.

About book marketing

Can you guarantee my book becomes a bestseller?

No, and you should be wary of anyone who does. What marketing can reliably do is make sure the readers most likely to enjoy your book can find it, and that what they find looks worth buying. Anything beyond that depends on the book and on luck, and we would rather be straight with you than sell you a number.

Will you buy reviews for my book?

Never. Paid reviews violate every retailer’s terms and get books delisted and authors banned. We put advance copies in front of readers who genuinely read your genre; what they write is up to them.

How much should I spend on advertising?

Less than you are probably expecting, at least at first. Advertising works when the listing behind it converts, so the sensible sequence is to fix the listing, test a small budget, and scale only what earns it back. We will tell you if your book is not ready for paid promotion yet.

What if I have no audience at all?

That describes most first-time authors and it is a normal place to start. The plan simply begins further back: the listing, the categories, a handful of genuine early reviews, and a way for readers who liked the book to hear about the next one.
