Ghostwriting & Book Writing

You don’t need to be a professional writer to have written a book worth reading. You just need the right partner.

  • In-depth discovery interviews before any drafting
  • An outline you approve first
  • Chapter-by-chapter review, not one big reveal

Some of the most compelling books come from people who’ve never written professionally: a business leader with decades of hard-won lessons, a retiree with a family history worth preserving, someone who lived through something extraordinary. What’s often missing isn’t the material: it’s the uninterrupted time, or the specific craft of turning spoken thought into a well-structured manuscript.

What’s included

  • A structured discovery process: in-depth conversations across several sessions before any writing begins.
  • An outline you approve first, so you’re confirming direction early, not fifty pages in.
  • Chapter-by-chapter drafting and review, keeping your voice and judgment present throughout.
  • A genuine voice match: your writer’s job is to sound like you, not a generic "professional" voice.
  • Full confidentiality, formalized in writing, and complete ownership and authorship remains yours.

Our process

  • A confidential consultation to confirm ghostwriting is the right fit for your project.
  • Writer matching, pairing you with someone experienced in your genre.
  • Discovery interviews and outline development, with your sign-off before drafting starts.
  • Drafting in stages, with your review built into the schedule at every chapter.
  • A complete manuscript, ready to move into editing, formatting, and publishing.

This is, for many of our clients, the most personal service we offer. We treat it that way, with patience, confidentiality, and real respect for the story you’re trusting us with.

What is included

Recorded discovery interviews

Long conversations about the material, recorded and transcribed. For memoir this is where the book is actually found.

An outline you approve

The whole book’s shape (chapters, order, what each one carries), agreed before a word of prose is drafted.

Chapters as they are written

Delivered in batches for your comments, so the voice is corrected early rather than discovered to be wrong at the end.

A complete manuscript

A finished draft, revised through your notes, ready for editing. Your name on it, and a confidentiality agreement as standard.

How this one runs

  1. A conversation about the book. What it is, who it is for, and whether ghostwriting is even the right answer. Some books want an editor and a stubborn deadline instead, and we will tell you if yours is one.
  2. Discovery. A series of recorded interviews, plus whatever you already have: notes, letters, half-finished chapters, photographs.
  3. Outline and sample chapter. The structure plus one chapter written to it, so you can hear the voice before committing to the whole book.
  4. Drafting and revision. Chapters written and delivered in batches, each one reviewed by you and revised, until the manuscript is complete.

About ghostwriting & book writing

Whose name goes on the book?

Yours. The writer does not appear on the cover, the copyright page or anywhere else unless you want them to, and the confidentiality agreement is signed before the first interview.

Will it sound like me?

That is the entire job, and it is why discovery is recorded. A ghostwriter is working from hours of you talking about the material, which is why the sample chapter comes early. If the voice is not yours, we find out at chapter one rather than at chapter twenty.

What if I already have some of it written?

Bring it. Half-finished manuscripts, blog posts, letters, notes from a folder: all of it is material, and an author who has written 30,000 words has usually also worked out things about the book that never made it onto the page.

How long does a ghostwritten book take?

Considerably longer than the other services here, months rather than weeks, because discovery, drafting and your review of each batch all take real time. You will get a schedule with the outline, and the pace is set partly by how quickly chapters come back to us.
